Video chat (beta), done safely
Random video chat is where most stranger apps go wrong. Bubbles+ video is built the other way round: you meet in text first, and video is opt-in for both people.
- 1Talk firstVideo unlocks only after 5 minutes of real conversation.
- 2Ask, never assumeOne person asks. The camera stays off unless the other accepts.
- 3Blurred until you chooseTheir video starts blurred. Tap when you are ready to see it.
- 4Leave instantlyEnd the video or report in one tap. Reports pause the other person’s video.
Video goes directly between the two devices and is never recorded or stored by Bubbles. Nudity or sexual content on video breaks our rules and gets accounts banned.
Pricing questions
Is Bubbles free?
Yes. Text chat, topic rooms and interest matching are free with no limits and no sign-up. You only pay if you want to share more photos or use video chat.
How much is Bubbles+?
Bubbles+ is $4.99 per month (USD; local prices may vary by country). It includes unlimited photo sharing and the video chat beta. You can cancel anytime.
Can I subscribe on the website?
Not yet. Bubbles+ is sold inside the Android and iOS apps and billed by Google Play or Apple, so you can manage or cancel it with the store. On the web you can buy a one-time Image Pack with PayPal or card.
How does video chat work?
Video is a Bubbles+ beta that is rolling out to testers first. Everyone gets one free video call (up to 3 minutes) to try it. It only unlocks after you have been chatting with someone for 5 minutes, both people need Bubbles+ or an unused free try, and the camera only turns on if your chat partner accepts your request. Either of you can end the video at any time. Video goes directly between the two devices and is never recorded by Bubbles.
Do Image Pack credits expire?
No. Image Pack credits never expire and stay on your account until you use them.
How do I cancel Bubbles+?
On Android: Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Bubbles → Cancel. On iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Bubbles → Cancel Subscription. You keep Bubbles+ until the end of the period you paid for.
Can I get a refund?
Subscriptions are refunded through the store that billed you (Google Play or Apple) under their refund policies. For web Image Pack purchases, email support@bubbles-chat.com within 14 days if the credits are unused.
